Aleksandra Bayeva
Alexandra Bayeva is a dancer and a teaching artist originally from Minsk, Belarus with a background in folk, ballet, jazz/modern, contact improvisation, social dance, and acro-yoga. She holds a BA in Folk Dance Teaching, Performance, and Choreography from the Belarusian University of Culture and Arts.
For the past 18 years, Alexandra has been working with various organizations teaching children, adults, and seniors the joy of movement. Throughout her career Alexandra has taught gymnastics, folk dance, ballet, theater dance, creative movement, “Mommy and Me”, circus skills, Acro-dance, Zumba, contact improvisation, fitness, line dance, and “Let Your Body Talk” classes.
As a performer, Alexandra has worked with several dance companies in Belarus and NYC: Gostitsa, Kustov Theater, Mark Lamb, Anabela Lenzu, and Young Dancers In Repertory. In 2018, Alexandra created “Set Free” Dance Theater which helped performers of various dance backgrounds to express themselves creatively in front of the audience. Additionally, she has produced, choreographed, and performed in eight Set Free Dance Theater productions that explored themes of freedom, desire, loneliness, love, power, and play.
In 2021, Alexandra was happy to discover the Vanaver Caravan Dance Company and she is currently employed by them as a teaching artist at both school residencies and Caravan Kids.
